Contracted with the National Park Service as Contracting Officer’s Technical Representative/Program Manager to rehabilitate the 1895, 450 ton, three-masted, lumber schooner C.A.THAYER, for the San Francisco National Maritime Historical Park, San Francisco, California. |

Builder, two 90’, traditional, brigantine-rigged wood constructed vessels, IRVING JOHNSON & EXY JOHNSON, for the L. A. Maritime Institute in San Pedro California. Both vessels certified under U.S.C.G. Rules for coastwise operation under rules for Subchapter “T”, carrying passenger for hire and Subchapter “R” for sailing school vessels operating on exposed waters. |

President, Board of Directors, Chesapeake Heritage Conservancy, Inc (a not for profit organization), supervising the continuing preservation and operations of a Chesapeake Bay Skipjack, a working oyster dredger, for historic, cultural and educational purposes. |

Historic research and Builder, recreation of 17th Dutch pinnace KALMAR NYCKEL (317ton) for the Kalmar Nyckel Foundation. This ship sailed from Sweden under the direction of Capt. Peter Minuet, establishing the first Swedish settlement (New Sweden) in 1638. This area is now known as Wilmington Delaware. KALMAR NYCKEL, Delaware’s Tall Ship Goodwill Ambassador, is certified by U.S.C.G. under Subchapter “T” and works as a Living History Museum. |

Contracted with the City of Baltimore to reconstruct a 1906 oyster dredge boat, the 45 foot skipjack, MINNIE V and a sister ship ANNA MCGARVEY. This was a joint venture with the International Historical Watercraft Society. |

President, American Clipper Trust, dedicated to the preservation of shipbuilding skills that enabled the United States to lead the world in the shipbuilding and maritime trade (1845-1855 and to reconstruct the 180 foot clipper ship SEA WITCH. |

Shipwright and finish carpenter for the construction of the 19th century Baltimore Clipper Schooner, PRIDE. Designed by Naval Architect Tom Gillmer and built in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor by the International Historical Watercraft Society, PRIDE served as Goodwill Ambassador for the State of Maryland, logging over 100,000 nautical miles in a ten year period. |
